  •  Nearly HALF the states with some movement (11+ / 0-)

    at least if not the whole deal....  And in the next 5 years maybe another 10 states will at least move to decrim...
    and others already on the list will take the next steps to medical use if not regulated legal use for individuals... that should put enough pressure on the federal level to ease off if not pull the plug on punitive measures on ordinary users...
    ...the final 15 or so states will be just that much more red and resistant... but they will eventually have to go with the flow... maybe end up with tougher controls... "State stores" as the only legal outlets... licensing limited farming of it... like so many states ran the liquor biz directly after prohibition was ended... and have some stricter interpretations of growing and possession for personal use... and narrower definitions of illegal trafficking... but hey... way better than now... take that privatized prison movement!!
