    •  Defend the working class, never invited back again (39+ / 0-)

launch a criminal war against the wrong country, flushing a decade down the toilet and Presiding over the shittiest Presidency since Herbert Hoover and you can say whatever the fuck you want and George Stephenopolis will always invite you back.

Allowing these lying hacks half of the debate no matter what they say or how consistently wrong they are is wrecking this country. WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET BANNED FROM SUNDAY POLITICAL TALK SHOWS?

I know what gets you banned. Do what I did. Challenge them to bring on more working class people who don't live in the Beltway pilotfish universe. That will get you uninvited for life, guaranteed.

Like I said, I take it as a sign that I am doing something RIGHT.

        a Movement.

from panhandlers, and time-clock punchers, on up.

What you did MOT, was EPIC.

        And never to be seen again, in the halls of punditry;

Until the workers, get mad enough, and demand equality,
and shoulder their way back in -- into those shallowed halls.

        Of corporate enablement.

And when they continue to deny us, that free speech platform,
        we need go around them.

We need to empower the workers with the fruits of our own labors. Someway. Somehow.

Someday. We will take away their "bread and butter,"
with a business model that actually does reward hard work.

... Viewer numbers, that is.  Stop tuning in.

Nothing speaks to TV executives better than low ratings, and for low ratings the potential viewers must turn their TVs off.  Most people act like there is no OFF button on their remotes or their TVs.

We can be as blissfully unaware of them as they are blissfully unaware of us.

It may take a year or so before the low ratings make news among TV executives (this is the corporate world, after all, and they absolutely will push their meme for all they are worth, even when they lose money and even when they know that we know they're all lying through their teeth)... but the message will eventually seep through the jungle of money to the pea brains of the TV executives who make programming decisions.

Turn your TVs OFF on Sunday mornings.  Go join your friends for lunch instead.  Sleep in until noon.  Take a walk in the park and photograph signs of spring, summer, fall, winter.  Become a birdwatcher (easy to do if you already live in the country).  Groom your pet.  Have friends over for a friendly game of Scrabble. (Doesn't the game have new additional tiles? Might have to get new tiles.  I don't know if the board changed, but they added tiles.)  Read a good book.  In short, there are all kinds of things to do on Sunday mornings that do not involve tuning in to the poli-speak hypocrites which can only raise your blood pressure....

First eliminate weekend TV (nothing on but sports and poli-speak shows).

Then turn the TV off for any shows you don't watch and being occupied with other interests.

Then turn the TV off permanently and only watch the shows you're interested in on Hulu (fewer ads, easy to mute them) or on the network web sites (more ads, but a few things are not on Hulu; annoyingly, if you mute their ads the sound doesn't come back for the shows and you have to reboot and go back to it which spawns more ads, so listen with earphones placed just in front of your ears or ear buds and just take them out of your ears when the ads come on - they're too loud anyway and dang near burst your ear drums, so the law about TV ads having to be at a regular volume must not apply to internet broadcasting is what seems to be taking place - or else they're violating the law; I don't know which).  Surf the net for alternative news sites to see what real people are saying.

If you're old like me, it's not difficult to live without a TV because we didn't have a TV until I was an adolescent.  Back then it was fuzzy black and white TV we got.  Still, my formative years involved reading for entertainment, and the four of us in our family played canasta on Sat. evening after dinner when I was an adolescent (if the four of us were not each reading - both my parents and brother and I are/were all avid readers).

Pretty much anything is preferable to voluntarily listening to the brainwashing rhetoric of Sun. morning shows that still favor the unconstitutional, illegal, immoral, unethical, dishonorable wars they still think are so great, in spite of the deficit they all howl about, and the reason they want to divert SSI/SSDI & Medicare monies to those wars (to what end has not been verbalized).

          See?  Perfectly logical.  OFF.
