Nice to know that they would rather have sick people processing the food than allow them to stay home.
    The companies don't care.  Period.
I work at a place that uses the same sort of draconian point system for workers who are sick.  They don't give a flying fig that you are infecting everyone else when you come to work sick, nor do they care that you may be endangering your health.  One thing matters.  Their bottom line.  They can always get new cheaper workers.  Always.
The workers out on leave is outrageous - get a willing doctor to underwrite your 'illness' and you're good to go.  They tend to be habitual 'out on leavers', they come back for a certain time and then, boom, gone again.  I've also never seen as many calls to the rescue, for what essentially turns out to be stress calls.
There is also definite favoritism.  There are people still working who should have gotten canned for their excessive points, but they're still there....why?
And don't say anything truthful about this or else you will be targeted and constantly accused of having a bad attitude or of being 'negative' (which is amusing, how does one remain positive about a negative situation?....oh wait, Pollyanna, you ignore it or you lie).

I think, therefore I am........................... Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose....AKA Engine Nighthawk - don't even ask!
