    I'm straight, but I'd have to say I've been more relieved that progress has been made (finally), on this issue than I've been "blown away" by the speed of our movement.

    People who are routinely denied rights I would take for granted may view the momentum to have built pretty slowly.

    I think you're right that the far right will over react, as they so often do. That's a nice bonus.

    I have gotten somewhat used to having the public agree with us on most of the issues, but reward the R's because of "the strength of their convictions."

    Since we've paid a political price, over the years, for being ahead of the curve I guess I'm not too eager to accept post-partisan acceptance of just doing the right thing.
