    Which is actually how he's more or less governed, if by "people" you mean rich and powerful people. At least Bush had the excuse of being a rich moron.

    I think that in the end, barring a major reversal or long-predicted unfolding of that "long game" many of us have ridiculed, despite whatever smaller-scale good he's clearly done, he will be remembered as the man who more than anything wanted to be president of the Cool Rich Kid's Club.

    Which come to think of it was how he ran the Harvard Law Review, pretending to be fair to all sides but in reality beholden to and sucking up to power.
