    There is a huge disconnect between all of these health-promoting activities you mention and what the "medical profession" provides. Figuring out how to bridge that gap might help.
    I'm trying a momentary thought experiment about how doctors/primary care providers would be different if they were first and foremost in the business of promoting health. Of recognizing lack of health, too, but focusing on health as a positive, achievable state in and of itself, not only as the absence of any known disease. Interesting exercise. It's not coming easily. Maybe I'm too stuck in that paradigm myself.
