    the program was designed.  nothing wrong with changing the rules of the game.  asking wealthy people to pay more for SS should be more of a sales job and request for greater good, as opposed to an insinuation that they've been ripping off the system.  

    the 'ask' is they pay more, but receive no benefit from it.  it can be rammed down peoples throats, alternatively.

    i'd prefer to get a tax on stock trades and put 1/2 of that into SS, since a big chunk of the trades are peoples retirement funds
