    You know, the Republicans wouldn't be able to defend DOMA unless a majority of Democratic Senators voted for it, a majority of Democratic Representatives voted for it, and a Democratic President signed it into law.

    The Republicans are wandering the the wilderness now, partly because they abandoned their stated principles and acted like lap dogs to a Republican President.  They refused to put principle over party loyalty.

    Democrats are stumbling into the same trap.  I don't care that a craved Democrat puts a red equal sign on their Facebook page anymore than I want to hear excuses and prevarications ten years from now about Civil Liberties, Drones, or Too Big to Fail.

      to not only stick to principles over party but to also be able to predict the results of their actions ten years down the road.
