    they decided to get married after 44 years. The sense of 'why bother now?' was ignored and both were surprised at how the ceremony changed their feelings.

     I had the same experience when married in 5/75 and had always been convinced that for most of us, the ceremony and the paper make a very real difference.

    As far as I am concerned, it includes the term marriage.
