So many people from high school I hadn't friended because I knew who they were back then... showing up in likes and comments and Suggested Friends with little pink and red equals signs in their icons.

I am considering the past two days a more than reasonable consolation prize for missing the reunion.

Prayers and best wishes to those in Japan.

had parents who were completely counting on them being fellow conservatives as they grew up. And in all but one case, they aren't GLBT, at least not openly. I have suspicions about a fellow ace being in the mass of newly added friends but nothing but a feeling. One gay guy, that's it - and a LEGION of allies.

The most sheltered, controlled, 'her parents read everything before letting her at it even after she turned 18' kid in the entire class I went to high school with HAD AN EQUALITY ICON YESTERDAY.

Friends I already had who I was sure wouldn't be supporters? Equality comments and posts. They've lost a Christian elementary-age Sunday School teacher, if they ever had her.

I found out a family member I had no clue about is pro-equality.

People from my old SBC church, pro-equality.

Out of all my generation, all of us, of the people I already had friended? ONE person liking anti-equality posts. ONE.

They've lost the older edge of the millenials. Entirely. Stick a fork in it, it's over.

Prayers and best wishes to those in Japan.
