A trip to our local Wal Mart is a journey into depression.  The store, staffed with workers that remind you of the latest zombie movie, are demotivated, flat, and dis-engaged.

The lines are long so if you just want to run into the store and pick up something, you have to wait in a very long line.  I don't even bother anymore.

Then there's the one reason I do go into Wal Mart which is to get pictures developed.  Now, at least 2 to 3 machines are down at all times and when things don't go right or you have a question just try and find an employee.

It's just miserable in our Wal Mart and I notice more and more  that the parking lot is less full then it used to be.  I suspect customers are leaving.  Our local Target always has a full parking lot and is well staffed by engaged and upbeat employees.

It's a tale of two stores and right now Wal Mart is nothing but a broken down shadow of its old self.  It's lost its mojo and they don't seem to care.

    Laissez le bon temps rouler!!
