    I'm completely and utterly confused by this.  The Center for Food Safety (which doesn't seem to have a good handle on that subject, either) asserts the bill is an "unprecedented attack" on judicial checks, but doesn't actually explain how or why.  As far as I can tell, this provision allows for limited application of biotech that has already passed federal evaluation, in the face of attempts to shut it down by injunction.  That's hardly unprecedented, or an attack.

    They cite the ACLU as one of the orgs protesting this, but I can't find anything on the ACLU's website, and I'd be surprised if I did: this is far afield from their normal area of advocacy.  If this is really the source of the objections to the rider, I'm beyond unimpressed.

    Is there something better out there?  Does anyone know?
