    and Medicaid (aged 79 now) has been repeatedly rejected because of clerk typos to their names and their birthdates.

    The doctor's office says they see this sort of thing all the time. Applying for medicaid is about a 6 month process, so by the time you get a rejection for a typo or something totally arbitrary (has not been in the workforce long enough, 5 years of paying into SS is required -- even as my father worked 42 years!!!) another 6 months goes by with considerable medical expenses in the interim.

    I sometimes thin this is being done on purpose!
