    which is not subject to deductions of any kind. Probably would end up with the gov getting more. Unless we actually close the loopholes.

    Ultimately, we need to get their salaries into economically sane figures and the income tax rate up to what it needs to be so we keep from creating uber rich, as the founding fathers had tried to do.

    One of my issues is the way the corps have gone after the pension funds and done away with anything remotely comparable. We all had 401K money going to investment companies that we didn't choose, and saw really poor ROI all during the high return years. Turns out, that was planned. So when we had to liquidate for health care or to keep a house, one leg of the original 3 legged retirement plan gave way. Pension (401K) + SS + personal savings and wealth (paid home) is now missing 2 legs for a lot of us.

    Given the climate change threat, I'm not sure it will matter...
