  •  The lust to dominate cannot be abated, it seems. (17+ / 0-)

By hook or by crook that lust can only be satisfied by fixing the social hierarchy. While a few slaves or serfs will to to serve as the base, the larger the base the better. Thus the impulse to dominate aims for near universal domination which, of course, government by the people was created to resist. Democracy is the antithesis of hierarchy and democrats are the enemy. Targeting discrete elements (women, foreigners, the infirm) for subordination looks like "divide to conquer," but, upon closer inspection, these infractions are more designed as distractions to disguise the assault on the body politic as a whole. The ruling elites are like a cancerous growth. Cancers are worse than parasites. Their mission is to destroy, mindlessly.

We organize governments to deliver services and prevent abuse.

In living things, growth is normally very tightly regulated.
Cancer cells have escaped from regulation and grow despite the fact that the body is signalling them to stop.
