That piss off and inconvenience people more than actually suppress votes. While they're at it, maybe they can also look into the truly serious problems of paper cuts from ballots and broken water fountains in polling sites.

Have you ever actually waited in line for hours to vote before?

      •  No (0+ / 0-)

But if I had to and was able, I'd have waited all day to vote. I have spent the better part of a day at several caucuses, which I had to to have my vote count. But you can't compare either to literally not being allowed to vote, or being told to vote on Wednesday, or having your ballots thrown out, or vote counting machines that leave no paper trail.

        •  So... (0+ / 0-)

....because, theoretically, you think you can do it, you think it's no big deal? So I guess people who have traditionally had to wait in line for hours every single election should just suck it up. Never mind that these people always seem to have some melanin in their skin. No big deal. They can just wait because you say that, theoretically, you could totally do it. Never mind the indignity of having to face this every. single. election. No big deal.

And never mind all the disabled people who literally can't do it. Or old people for whom it causes a terrible hardship. Or the people who have to work and can't wait in line. Screw those people.  Because you could totally wait so it's no big deal. Theoretically.

          •  Obviously I never said that (0+ / 0-)

Obviously you prefer to put words in peoples' mouth than try to have a real discussion. If that makes you happy, more power to you, but I'll have none of it.
