    You'd think there's be protests about Chained CPI, if people really cared. My best guess: a majority of Democrats don't even care. Now that's a fail.

      Remember when everyone was calling it a "freak out" when the sequester was signed into law, because of course the Republicans wouldn't allow it to take effect?

      I do.

      And I now see people calling it a "freak out" when a Democratic President is offering, of his own volition, to fatally undermine the signature Democratic policy achievement of the twentieth century. Because, of course, there's no way the Republicans will ever take "yes" for an answer.

      Some people just don't get tired of being wrong....

        And while I oppose chained-CPI, it would help your argument to drop the hyperbole. Chained-CPI does not fatally undermine SS. It just means benefits increase more slowly than they already are on a yearly basis.
