    directly or applied with a facecloth or small towel, for 5 to 10 minutes.

    As long as the skin isn't damaged by the heat, it seemed to have the same effect, except it didn't dry out the skin. :)

    I always thought that heat was a good remedy - thanks to your explanation, I have a nice understanding of why.
