      He's Jesuit. There's limits to what can be done to him, even without the unlikely-but-true instance of a Jesuit pope. The Jesuit school near where I work has a GSA, and the local Jesuit college holds a "Rainbow Prom" every year, has a formally-recognized LGBTQ group, and even office space.

      Now - they might ship him out here, if the diocese there makes a fuss. (Hadn't realized he was in Rochester, or you either, for that matter. I think they're between bishops, IIRC.) He won't be defrocked, though - and actually, I'd sort of be surprised if anything really comes of it at all.

      he can come over to the Episcopalian Church.  We would love to have him!

      One of the priests at my church (our local Cathedral) is a former Franciscan who was received into our communion.  He is a wonderful, pastoral, supportive guy - and I could totally see him doing this.
