and you're right about the 4 hours. But here's something else about that visit. Most of the time is actually spent either shopping, eating or bathroom breaks, and roughly 35 to 40 is spent viewing the canyon. Go figure! You have THE Natural Wonder on the planet and some people don't use their time gawking. Oh, lots of folks feed the rats-with-tails, the rock squirrels, and it's as though they have never seen so-called wildlife. Honest to blog! Of course, the signs say don't feed the animals, but it doesn't matter. The best part is when someone gets bit. Squirrels bite rather deeply, down to the bone, and in flash. They are not to be trifled with. I don't blame the squirrels, either. Now. . .about mule rides. Let me put it this way: you have to be mighty courageous to take those trips! It's scary. Very safe and all that, but oh my, that's a hard-ass trip (no pun intended) down and up. I love riding mules even better than horses. But I do that on level ground. I don't have the courage to ride in or out of a canyon. Sounds like you do, though. My hats off to you for such an accomplishment. (By the way,. people who go to the ranch tend to love the adventure AFTER they come out. I think some of them are too chafed to admit it below. HA! Thanks for posting your comment, LamontCranston (sounds like someone I once knew from a TV program, right?).

Treat the world (yourself, and others) as part of a living organism. Everyone and everything will benefit.
