    hikes from the river. Of course, Silver Grotto, Deer Creek, Havasu, mile 93 canyon, I think it is, maybeMatkatamiba Canyon and the like. But I haven't given it too much thought, foolrex. Until now. Marble Canyon's also got some great hikes, like Buck Canon. Anyway, I'll let you know and in the meantime thanks for letting me (and now the rest of the DKos community know about the sudden closure of Hwy. 89 near Page, and what a mess that'll be getting to Jacob Lake and all the rest of the road that got tore up. I suspect geologic activity, because there's a decent fault running thru that neck of the woods, which is how folks make it up to Page in the first place. Anyway, I'm sure the highway department is scratching their heads (and other parts) given this broken road business. I'll be back in touch with you about some river hikes. Badger and Soap Creek also are good hikes. So's Paria.
