  •  LA Times Went Conservative for a while (7+ / 0-)

I use to subscribe to them but about 10 years ago they flirted with Conservatism and I canceled. They got huge blow-back and lost a lot of subscribers. They moderated but never quite went back to where they were. They even had a campaign trying to convince canceled subscribers to please come back.

and i have been reading it lately while i am caring for my mother. (she takes the paper at home.)  i have noticed that jonah goldberg is in the op ed pages way too bleeding often and it is never good.  no, not getting my dimes (dollars) these days.  too right wing as it is.

to write off a paper on the basis of one op-ed columnist. Every paper in the country would be disqualified on that basis. Papers are different from Daily Kos. And yes, I too think Goldberg is useless.

The entire tone of the paper has changed. They've softened some, but are still way too right-wingy for me.

It wasn't until about a year ago that they stopped using the word "homosexual" for gay, and NEVER report on West Hollywood (one of LA's gay neighborhoods/cities) events without going out of their way to publish the most outrageous accompanying pictures if they do.

What separates us, divides us, and diminishes the human spirit.

when it was taken over by the chicago thugs.  the slant of it has been right wing since and there are always moves afoot to go further right.  i did not write it off due to just goldberg but his ilk infest the entire paper.

...of the "free markets" to which they claim to hold fealty slap them upside the head.
Good work alienating the majority of the audience you need to reach to survive...
