    In the past 30 years American Blue Collar Workers have had the rug pulled out from underneath them on everything from job security to benefits to retirement, all for the sake of corporate profits.

    If we, the generation that made the rich a whole lot richer- while not being able to adequately invest in our own retirement- are to leave the workforce with any sort of dignity or future, we need to raise this limit to a more reasonable number:

    Social Security taxes are withheld up to a maximum amount, which changes each year. Here are the maximum wages subject to Social Security for the past few years:

        2013 $113,700
        2012 $110,100
        2011 $106,800
        2010 $106,800
        2009 $106,800
        2008 $102,000
