    happening to the 99% and in particular the elderly and poor with the austerity facade.

    If one is so inclined, he or she can argue for support, but to argue that it is necessary or the best recourse for the people is either dishonest or ignorant or a combination of both.  It can't be massaged or propagandized or ignored if one is even a moderate, much less liberal or progressive.

    It's not a pet issue with me, any more than climate change is.  No matter how bad other issues may be and there are indeed very critical problems, none are as imminently threatening to the well being of the nation.

    More: Some men think the Earth is round, others think it flat; it is a matter capable of question. But if it is flat, will the King's command make it round? And if it is round, will the King's command flatten it?
