    that talks about how the "wild wild west" wasn't near as wild as the streets of America today, how gun control was a way of life without fear of threatening the second amendment.

    Of course, by the fifties and sixties, when TV was all about Westerns, the mythology had more than begun---can't count the shoot outs in saloons I'd seen on various programs by the time I was ten.
