    The corporate guy let the FAA know they will be conducting low level operations in the area, and the FAA responded according to the rules that govern airspace safety.  These kinds of requests are not at all unusual, and may come from both the private as well as the public sector.  If I were one of the helicopter pilots coming and going, the last thing I want is somebody busting through my landing zone at low altitude.
