  •  i trained to swim underwater farther (6+ / 0-)

than anybody. In competition. On one breath. At camp.
Curiously, years later, some people foolishly bet hundreds of dollars that I could not swim the length of a long club swimming pool underwater, with no dive, on one breath. I won more a few months later doing 2 lengths underwater in the same pool. Rich people had some benefits for me in those days.
I was a very good baseball player and occasionally hit tape measure home runs. High school. I was a fearless and feared soccer player. Left Inside.
Me and another guy, a friend, played a very wild and unconventional styled third doubles on the tennis team the one year they let us and went undefeated all season.
He could lob so high and deep that the opponents went dizzy missing it. And I was so intimidating at the net that both victims always wound up in tandem at the baseline after a few games. Aside from the lobs and my attempts to smash volleys at anyone stupid enough to encroach near the net, we would also, occasionally, on opponents serve, and after a skyhooked lob, run to switch positions on our side, he to the net, me to the baseline.
More than a few times, this distraction preluded balls bouncing off the heads of opponents when they were watching us instead of the ball.
We lettered. But, the next year, I had to go back on the baseball team, and Teddy back to Track. We had disconcerted the tennis community with our vicious and psychologically damaging undignified comportment. Huh huh. Never lost a set. Rarely lost a game. Cry babies.

Monsanto is poison, gotta be stopped. Can't afford rich people anymore;must cut back. People like Dick Cheney are evil, don't belong in government. We need @ 9 different revolutions in this country, and may they all crossoverlap soon..
