    Every other coach in the country used his behavior against him.  The talent today doesn't want to be screamed at and insulted in that fashion. All another coach has to do is bring up that kind of behavior and that kid ain't going to anywhere near that coach.  Might have worked back in the day, but now the recruiting environment is a hell of a lot different.

      Knight was one of the great basketball minds of his generation, but his style of coaching became unacceptable to the best high school basketball players. The best coaches have teams who collectively play above the individual talent of the team members. Knight's teams consistently achieved that, but later in his career the talent he was able to attract continued to decline. The drill sergeant style of coaching is now a relic of the past.
