    the masses would be home solar/wind. Middle class families getting cuts to their bills as Germany implemented would involve the most people, require noting built by government, it only needs finance.

    With a billionaire willing to actually fight on the right side, this should be one of the top priority issues. There ought to be some conservatives persuadable on this.

      are obligated to try to thwart renewable energy technologies. Their absolute responsibility is to their shareholders, and that means maximiizing profits. It's the rate payers who benefit from what you suggest and the protector of their instersts is the regulator, and not their energy supplier. And too many regulators are owned by the utilities they are supposed to regulate, plain and simple.

      There can be no protection locally if we're content to ignore the fact that there are no controls globally.

      All you need is a county board willing to pass the bond referendum, and a pack of individuals motivated enough to fund it.
