    Lead the tyro to a lime grove somewhere in SoFla (Limelight Farm, perhaps?) at picking time, which is the height of summer, +++ humidity, temps well over 100 in the sun and over 90 in the shade -- where you're lucky to pick -- and tell him/her, "have at it" in terms of bushels in plastic buckets weighing 60 lbs or so.

    By hand.

    On foot.

    For three days.

    You will welcome a thunderstorm to pick in.  Damn! the lightning, full speed ahead.

    That was my farming life once.  Then a blessing called Hurricane Andrew came and blew it all away.
