        as this is an interesting observation. Post-structuralism (as I understand it) argues that there is no center (quick paraphrase). In the realm of academia only: fine.  

        But when applied to (say) journalism, which requires ostensible facts- not so fine.

          refined and granular "truth", which is necessarily complex and multilayered and thus ultimately unattainable. Which is fine for what it is, because academia isn't about immediate real-world results. But journalism, politics, activism, etc., are about the real, imperfect world, in real time, which can't afford the luxury of relativistic complexity. I.e. we need to get shit done, and the best shit we can, ASAP, and playing the "long game", even if genuine and not cover, is a luxury we often can't afford. And it's often not genuine, or practical.
