  •  Oops, forgot one: (24+ / 0-)

On Aug 2, we were informed that the very early estimates of "no oil emanating" and "1000 barrels a day" were just a little off:

Flow Rate Technical Group reports that the well initially was dumping 62,000 barrels of oil per day initially after the spill and that it dwindled to 53,000 barrels when it was capped as the well was depleted. This means that 4.9 million barrels were dropped into the Gulf.

    •  And it has all been cleaned up!! (5+ / 0-)

The gulf has been restored, tourism is up, everybody's FINE. BP has spent billions!!!

In other news, recent studies show tobacco and alcohol are beneficial to humans. Factoring in climate change realities, researchers concluded it's better to have a good time and die young than face what the future will bring.

      •  You are correct (3+ / 0-)

Everyone here in Pensacola loves BP. Especially the folks that used to live in the empty houses in the neighborhood.

lived on Prince William Sound.!! I have been concerned for decades that my fascination with Riki Ott was biased and naive.
