  •  can anyone summarize media coverage? (6+ / 0-)

i don't spend much time on the corporate media

    1. are they outraged that they are kept out of the air

    2. are they outraged that they are kept out of the area

    3. are they linking the story to the KXL

    4. is the story given even 10% of the coverage of a run away white girl ( or raped or murdered)

    5. or is the media totally failing its constitutional role

i'll check back to see if anyone has a good summary

    •  I'll try, but I might be wrong (5+ / 0-)

      1. are they outraged that they are kept out of the air

Probably not, since they can breath easier this way

      2. are they outraged that they are kept out of the area

Probably not, since they can keep their shoes clean this way

      3. are they linking the story to the KXL

Probably not, since they can keep their heads in the (tar) sand this way

      4. is the story given even 10% of the coverage of a run away white girl ( or raped or murdered)

          Probably not, since.... FREEDOM!

      5. or is the media totally failing its constitutional role

Aside from the assumption that we have a free press, is there a constitutional role for the press?  I understand what you are saying - the media is failing their customers by downplaying this.  And isn't there a nuclear issue going on in Arkansas now that is getting even less play?  The media is not mandated to report news accurately, they only "give the people what they want".  Apparently not many people want accurate and timely news/analysis.
