  •  Any so called liberal Democrat (8+ / 0-)

who votes to undermine SS or Medicare isn't really a liberal at all and needs to be replaced. These folks must be held accountable and if they abandon their constituents then they need to be replaced period.

but tell that to the Pres. Why did he even bring up this plan in the first place? After W's debacle with privatizing SS in 2005, or trying to. . .when the hell are these politico types going to leave their goddamn hands off the funds that we have paid into over the years, while thinking said funds are entirely out of reach of such greedy hands? And you don't see these SOB's offering to cut their salaries or do what they can to lessen the debt. SOB's is the right way to call it, too.

Treat the world (yourself, and others) as part of a living organism. Everyone and everything will benefit.

    •  Forget liberal. Just "humanly decent" covers it. (3+ / 0-)

If Republicans said every 3rd person named "Smith" should hang, we'd bargain them to every 7th. Then we'll see apologia written praising this most pragmatic compromise. There's our losing formula.
