  •  It's ironic Walden is criticizing the President (0+ / 0-)

As my Representative to Congress, Walden is on the record here in Oregon saying that Paul Ryan's budget (which he voted for) will "preserve the our safety net programs".

"We should not go down the road of more debt and deficits for the next generation. It is not fair to the kids. We need to protect and preserve our safety net programs. The Republican budget does that. And we need to grow jobs in middle class America. Our plan does that as well,” Rep. Walden said.

How he concludes that the Ryan budget does not "balance" the budget on the backs of seniors and the poor is beyond me...

    •  there are no "cuts" to benefits (0+ / 0-)

in the Ryan budget.   It says privatize it and save money.  But the assumption is the same services will be provided. The only cuts are the ones already in Obamacare.
