...mallyroyal has been putting forth this myth that I'm somewhere between Thurston Howell the Third (Gilligan's Island) and the Eugene Levy character in the Steve Martin/Queen Latifah flick. It's really just about the funniest shit I catch in this community (and, for me, that says a LOT).

I mean that sincerely. It truly is hilarious.

BBB, the reality here--being a fellow New Yorker (now), who spent most of his formative years living in a tenement in Newark, NJ--is going to greatly disappoint the guy.

the only things I've ever assumed about you is that you're older than me (I'm 38) and you're white.

that's just based on site demographics, and I realize I could very well be wrong about both lol.  I've been super wrong before about folks.

other than that all I've ever done is react to what you say on here.

      •  Let's see.... (0+ / 0-)

...my political journeys are worthy of a movie script, or two, or three. And, with the very few friends with whom I've discussed some of the potential "chapters"--so to speak--of this story, it usually leaves them with their lower jaws hanging, after the first 15 minutes, or so. ("The names would, most definitely, have to be changed to protect the innocent," however.)

It all started when I was a crossing guard "patrol boy," back in grade school, in 1968. (I was ten years old.) I made sure every kid at my corner (which abutted the highway that ran past my elementary school in Trenton, NJ) was up on the overpass of that highway, screaming their lungs out, telling George Wallace to "go fuck himself," as his motorcade rode under it on his way to give a speech in the center of town...

...and, Mally, I do NOT fuck around with embellishments when I tell these stories. There are hundreds of them...with most of them being much more "up-close-and-personal" (and more interesting) than the paragraph, above.
