    That's a very interesting article I hadn't seen before:

    Republicans have to choose between raising taxes in order to get the Chained CPI, arguing for Chained CPI without the tax increase, or rejecting Chained CPI.
    This, by the way, is more or less the thinking of Ezra Klein and Greg Sagrent, whose analyses I trust.

    So amidst all the whinging and handwringing, could someone please tell me how exactly Chained CPI becomes law? Who votes for this?

    I repeatedly claimed that Obama would never propose cuts to social security. I was wrong. Then again, I also claimed, repeatedly, that Rick Perry would win the 2012 Election, and that The Supreme Court would overturn Health Care Reform.
