Now I am thinking of how this timeline would parallel that of the rise and fall of species and evolution.

may find its answer in a thesis or dissertation. WOW! I'm too old to even attempt, so what do you say we put your excellent thought out there for our community and see if someone will take it on, perhaps even someone's progeny who is looking for the proverbial "And now for something entirely new!" I can see this question is going to circulate around my brain for a long, long time. Thanks for the exercise and for posting your comment, whenwego.

"The Eternal Frontier" comes to mind. I just sent him (or someone in charge of his stuff) the original question you posed, and this one, and if anyone is going to give us a straight answer it should be this bloke. If he writes back and comments on same, I'll let you know. If he asks for money so that he can back and do some more researching stuff, I'll send him your way. I'm too broke to even try and pay attention. HA!
