    marijuana legalization, though this one by YouGov finds a much lower percentage opposed than the recent Pew poll. I think the prop 19 proponents in California were foolish not to put it on the ballot last year as I have little doubt it would have passed. Oregon similarly would have passed it if proponents had actually spent money on it. I fully expect more ballot initiatives in the next few cycles after Colorado and Washington.

      It got 50.9% of the vote in Benton and Lane counties, homes of UO and OSU.  It failed to pass in liberal Hood River County, failed to hit 44% in Washington County.  In a presidential year, with our best turnout in those places among young people and progressives.

        less than $100k or something ridiculous like that? I mean I could certainly see a scenario where it didn't pass despite better funding, but it got nearly 47% even though opponents outspent it by a huge ratio and I think there's a strong chance it might have passed with more equitable spending for it.

        I certainly think it could pass in 2016.
