  •  Tears for the victims and their families. (11+ / 0-)

I'm angry that some cowardly asshole(s) could do this, and that kids have to grow up in such a violent society.  My heart goes out especially to the family of that 8-year-old boy.  Thank goodness that another bomb didn't go off right where the first responders were rushing in.

I was born in Arlington and lived in Bedford for 10 years.  My elementary school was named after Patriot Nathaniel Page, and I grew up a patriot.  My family would occasionally make the trip to Boston for some good Chinese food, and I have vivid memories of the swan boats.  My dad drove me all the way to Boston for piano lessons because he knew a guy who owned a music store there.  And I remember listening to the 1967 World Series on the radio and being a Bruins fan when Orr, Sanderson, and Esposito were on the team and there were only a handful of teams in the NHL.  When we moved to CA, our relatives made fun of our accents. I wish we'd never moved from our (IMO) idyllic life there.
