  •  And this is (0+ / 0-)

Patriot's Day, a state holiday in Massachusetts to commemorate the start of the American Revolution (Revere's ride and Lexington and Concord), the same thing McVeigh used as a symbol. It has symbolic significance. Today also is Tax Day.

Federal targets might kinda be on lockdown these past few years, no?

Again, not saying we know anything yet about who did this and why. But you asked if "gun nuts" had engaged in terror and McVeigh and Co. fall pretty close to that demographic.

Republicans...think the American standard of living is a fine thing--so long as it doesn't spread to all the people. And they admire the Government of the United States so much that they would like to buy it. Harry S. Truman

Not to mention a lot more McVeighs in places like Oklahoma than Boston.

Look -- it could be anybody.

DK just gives me a chuckle at times like this, seeing right wing death squads in the closet, under the bed, and at the bottom of the toy chest.

we don't know. Could be anyone. I'm not seeing "right wing death squads" at all. You asked, in essence, if right-wing lovers of "liberty" had engaged in acts of terror. I said, yep, one did. And it happened to coincide with today's date. But that doesn't mean I think this was that. I don't know yet.

McVeigh, of course, did not live in Oklahoma. He traveled there.

        •  "in essence" , ie, whatever I want to think you're (0+ / 0-)

          saying.

I asked nothing of the sort.
I'm old enough to reember Oklahoma City.
          I have family there.
Just as I had friends in the World Trade Center.
