  •  Instead of engaging in petit bourgeois displays (0+ / 0-)

of frivolity and crass consumerism-materialism like the Boston Marathon, the American people should be atoning every day from here to eternity for the outrages we have perpetrated upon the peoples of Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

So, no, I won't put it on hold for a few days. Atonement is not something Americans do very well - took us over 50 years to atone partially for Manzanar. Still haven't atoned for what we did to indigenous people or to African slaves forcibly kidnapped and brought here against their will. And there is that little matter of the 2-3 million Southeast Asians killed and wounded thanks to our meddling.

Put it on hold for a few days? You have got to be joking.

Maybe we should all chip in and send you on a nice quiet vacation for the rest of the week, somewhere without phones, newspapers, or Internet. It might be best for us all.

      •  News flash: there is no Left left, thanks to the (0+ / 0-)

actions of Rape-publi-scum and Dems alike back in the 50s.

I'm not going to shut up (or "put it on hold") until Bush and Cheney are on trial at the Hague for war crimes and crimes against humanity. Sorry if that inconveniences you.

        •  I hear the tulips are lovely this time of year (0+ / 0-)

It would be great to see cheney/bush/rumsfeld shackled to chairs in The Hague.  Henry Kissinger too.  But meanwhile, maybe you should go and enjoy the lovely flowers.
