The ebook The Dilbit Disaster: The Oil Spill You Never Heard Of is excellent. And only $2.99 on Amazon. I wrote about it in my diary Dilbit in the Pipeline.

Diluted bitumen or dilbit - that's the product that will be in the Keystone XL pipeline. The book details the Kalamazoo spill from Enbridge pipeline 6B that leaked for 17 hours before Enbridge shut it down. It's almost impossible to really clean it up. The industry is still using methods used for conventional oil spills when dilbit is not like oil. It is thick and sticky and it sunk in the Kalamazoo River forcing clean-up crews to chase tar balls on the river bed to this day.
