and I believe that the Obama administration will not become involved militarily in Syria.

The FSA's operations are generally at a standstill.

The SNC and NCSROF seem to have devolved into a parody.

The Islamic radical armed groups and the Arab tribe's armed groups, which the western media often include in the FSA even though they are at best only connected to the FSA in name only, are essentially the only groups doing any attacking - and these are limited - right now.

Rebel losses are very high, 1 in 5 or maybe even 1 in 4, due to their disorganization and infighting, and young people have become generally quite hesistant to join them.

Public support for the rebels has dropped dramatically. There were even very public pleas made by the people in Ar-Raqqah that the rebels not come and 'liberate' them.

About 20% of Syrians are now displaced and about 20% more have been severely effected. Agricultural production was down by about 40% last year and will be even worse this year.

The Turkish government wants the whole affair to just go away and generally will not even utter the word 'Syria' publicly.

Lamb chop, we can quibble what to call it, but I think we can both agree it's creepy.
