  •  And if the vote had occured in the middle of the (7+ / 0-)

week with full attendance would the vote have been any different?

You assume a great deal. And those assumptions and insults are badly undercutting the very points you are attempting to raise.

I'm willing to go with ineptitude and the law of unexpected consequences in this mess. But I'm not ready to assume that it's all due to malign intent. I don't know enough yet.

That's the point I always start from, by the way, not a knee jerk defense or attack of either a politician or policy.  I always assume that I have research to do. That research means reading more than one source. It means taking the time to do so. It means asking questions, making mistakes, and then reading some more. The right to that in order to come to my own conclusions I do not hand over to anyone.

And yet you seem to be insisting that I hand that right over to you.

In case you didn't notice, there's a great deal going on today after yesterday's attack in Boston and my patience for your approach to valid issues is just gone.

    Therefore, so am I.

    Have a good day.

A law was ineptly passed, someone pointed out the unintentional consequence of creating the Identity Theft Happy Hunting Ground, and the problem got fixed.
