    that he took away and loudly proclaiming that he is a friend of schools by raising the amount of money he gives them. Only in Florida! Well, maybe not.

    I have a friend who was evaluated "unsatisfactory". Then a reevaluation was done of all the Alachua County teachers and she was moved up to "Acceptable", or something like that. So she wasn't in jeopardy, but before this decision to tie teacher's evaluations to the students' test scores, she had always gotten an "excellent" as her evaluation. She wondered how her performance, which hadn't changed from the previous year, had suddenly dropped from excellent to unsatisfactory, then up to acceptable.

    Talk about ruining the morale of teachers. If my friend didn't need the job, she would have quit.
