I turned on Sam Seder's Majority Report in bed last night. A journalist was talking about one of the hunger strikers. It may have been the man in your second Gitmo link because I recall him saying he had been held at Gitmo for 11 years. It was one of very few times I actually turned the show off. It was just to horrible to listen to. Too much horror for one day. It's on my iPod, so I will eventually listen.

is really good. I think you were the one who got me listening to it on  a regular basis, OLinda.  I like how he breaks things up into segments and posts them on YouTube. Then I can listen to it in the background while doing other things.  Thanks.  The Gitmo story is horrendous.  And the Yemeni detainees did not do anything. Not Al Qaeda, no crimes, have been cleared for release.  But they won't let them go.

Yeah, 11 years and no charges. Man, hard to believe 'we're' doing this.

So glad you are listening. It may have been me who mentioned him to you. I do mention him a lot and used to link to him in my sig line.

His is the only political podcast I listen to regularly. To me, he is our best liberal voice. An excellent interviewer too. He amazes me how current and informed he stays. And, he understand the complex stuff and can explain it. You can tell he often already knows everything whoever he is interviewing says because he has researched and studied. How he keeps up with everything going on for a 5 day a week show is beyond me. Even though his podcast is 1 to 2 hours, you know he works at least 8 hours a day. Well, he probably lives and breathes it.

Well, you got me started. ;)
