    that if the terrorist(s) wanted to cause maximum casualties, they would have planted the bombs on a T (subway) leaving Fenway, or some such.

    Remember the 2004 train attacks in Spain that killed 191 people or 2005 in London which killed 52.

    However, yards from the finish line at Boston's most photographed annual event guarantees maximum media coverage - why they didn't set off the bombs when the leaders crossed the lines, thereby getting their evil "work" on live TV I do not know -

    You're right in that they specifically targeted the "average" runners, and their cheering sections. That is evil on top of vile....
