    Did not realize that earthquakes were common in Oklahoma.  We used to live in hurricane country so we learned the benefits of being prepared and taking what steps we could to make things work for us.

    I agree with some of the other readers that it must be unnerving to go through an earthquake.  Having said that I have been through two, both times slept through them.  Once in Japan after a 22+ flight and then again in Costa Rica after a 13+ hour flight.  Hope that is the extent of my experiences!

      more earthquakes a year, most so minor they are only noticeable on the Richter Scale even if you're in the epicenter. But a 4.3 can be felt for quite a distance.  That one was in Luther OK, and was felt as far away as the western edge of OKC.
