Running out of places to shop & products to buy.

I do try to vote with my limited dollars. Haven't been in Whole Foods since Mackey's Health care op-ed and now Eden, which I once thought of as trustworthy, is run by someone against something as basic as birth control.

Meanwhile, I keep learning about many other so-called natural or organic brands that aren't quite what they appear to be. Bought out by global corporations, using GMOs and/or questionable ingredients, etc.

It's getting to be quite the challenge trying to afford decent food.

We have two CSAs that provide wonderful produce from local farms and a great new co-op that also sources from local producers, including several urban organic farms. It has allowed us to skip Whole Foods. The one challenge has been things like grains and legumes. Bob's Red Mill is a great company, but I can only find it at Whole Foods unless we order it. I had been buying Edens for some of those grains, but will have to rethink it.

      Be radical in your compassion.
